Portable Fume Extractor : –

This product is suitable for large size jobs where project or maintenance type of welding is carried out. The fume extractor has self standing fume extraction arm with which the welder can place the suction hood just above the welding point. The fumes are extracted at source and filtered in electrostatic filter provided in the system to exhaust clean & filtered air within the same environment. There is no need to have any extra ducting to exhaust the air out of the plant. Most suitable for areas like ship building fabrication shops, heavy engineering welding shops, Rail Coach building shops, Process industry fabrication shops, Maintenance & reconditioning workshops in mines etc.

When there are a number of welding stations in the layout like typical set ups of auto components industries, FILTER-ON offers Common Fume Extraction system which can be connected to a number of welding stations. The system has blower-motor assembly and Electrostatic Air filtration system of required capacity along with the ducting to connect the system to individual weld stations. Generally the systems are placed out of the shop with a rain protection shade. More suitable where the layouts are relatively stable and most of the weld stations are working at the same time. Its advantages are that it consumes very less space within the shop, Lower maintenance requirements, Can be designed for expanding layouts so as to avoid repeated capital expenditures. Some of the welding torch manufacturers offer special fume extraction type torches which have provision to capture the fumes just at the generation point i.e. at the tip of the torch. FILTER-ON has developed the fume extractor for this application which effectively develops the vacuum required to capture the fumes from these torches and to filter it in electrostatic air filters to exhaust clean air. These systems are very much useful for the applications where providing conventional systems with hoods or canopies etc is not possible. Also this system can be used for regular Manual MIG welding applications effectively and one of the most effective method of welding fume extraction from welders health point of view.
